Ingredients:
For the meat:
-1 lb. of ground turkey meat
-2 dashes of garlic powder
- 1/2 cup of bread crumbs (italian or normal I choose italian)
- 1 dash of worcestershire sauce
- 1 dash of salt and pepper
- 1/2 large onion finely chopped
- 1 red bell pepper chopped finely
- 3 dashes of chill powder
- 1 egg
- italian seasonings
- dash of cayenne pepper
For the sauce:
- 1 jar of tomato sauce
- 1 tbl spoon of tomato paste
- dash of white vinegar
- 2 dashes of worcestershire sauce
-heavy squirt of yellow mustard
(add as much as you like to zesty to sweet)
Method:
- Put ground turkey meat in a big mixing bowl
- Add the egg
- add the bread crumbs
- add the spices
- add the worcestershire sauce
- add the rest
(Mix up all together with the hands and form into a bread loaf shape)
(Place in a baking pan lined with aluminum foil for easy clean up)
NEXT le Sauce
- Pour can of tomato sauce in another bowl preferably medium sized- then add mustard, Worcestershire, vinegar, tomato paste
- Mix vigorously and taste and add more of what you think it needs!
Bake at 350 for 25-30 mins depending on your oven
HOW IS THIS HEALTHY?
{Turkey meat is very lean and is not bad for the heart like red meats}
